ERG/BRG Networking Event

Planning events and finding speakers to engage employees and help them learn about resources available is a main focus of most employee resource groups. April is widely celebrated as Autism Acceptance Month, and May is recognized as Mental Health Month, which means this time of year may be very busy for Disability groups!

We will kick off the call with a guest speaker, Jaimee Hrabik, Lead from Disability:IN Wisconsin Program Committee. Jaimee will review the upcoming calendar of events sponsored by Disability:IN Wisconsin. There are two virtual events on April 29 and May 15 on Mental Health@Work that Jaimee will review and help you to make them available to your ERG/BRG. Supplementing your internal programming with Disability:IN Wisconsin events is a great way to expand your reach and enhance your offerings. As a reminder, these webinars are free to employees of Disability:IN WI member companies.

The second part of the call, we’ll discuss what programming our companies have prepared (or already held) in April and May. It’ll be an open forum to discuss what went well, ask for ideas to find new speakers or topics for next year, and learn from each other. Please come prepared to share informally during the meeting.

Promoting Mental Health Awareness in the Workplace

In this webinar, we will explore how to create a supportive and inclusive workplace for individuals facing non-visible mental health challenges. Attendees will gain insights into effective job-aids and workplace accommodations tailored for a range of needs—whether they stem from chronic mental health conditions or situational challenges.

Key topics will include:

  • Workplace etiquette that fosters respect and understanding for non-visible limitations.

  • Practical strategies for accommodating diverse mental health needs.

  • Tools and resources to help normalize mental health practices as part of everyday workplace culture.

By the end of this session, participants will be empowered to integrate these practices into their organizations, ensuring that mental health support is accessible to everyone, contributing to a healthier, more empathetic work environment for all. This webinar is designed for HR professionals, team leaders, and employees seeking to build an environment where mental health is prioritized and destigmatized.
